And GRAND CIRCUIT VALLEY: In 2014, I went to my first BIGSOUND. A three day annual music conference held in Brisbane’s Fortitude Valley - a gathering of of ostensibly the sharpest and most broadly
connected people in the Australian music industry and a handful of foreign interlopers - BIGSOUND is the place to be for ambitious local performers. It was a transformative spectacle. I knew I had to go back. In the weeks before this year’s conference, Joe Alexander told me to extend my flights for a couple days to lurk around the city with the locals and see Totally Mild one last time before their European tour. This is the story of that week.
